About Vow & Forever Arches
Vow & Forever Arches was founded on a simple belief: that craftsmanship can be an act of devotion. When something is made with genuine care and purpose, it carries a spirit that endures long after the materials themselves.
The difference between an object that’s disposable and one that’s cherished lies in intention. IKEA and the Shakers both made chairs — but while one ends up forgotten, the other is preserved for generations to come. The Shaker craftsman believed he was building for something greater, and that sense of meaning became part of the piece itself.
That same philosophy guided the creation of my first arch. When my oldest son, who is active-duty military, asked me to build an arch for his backyard wedding, I saw it not just as a project, but as a privilege. I’d spent years building things for my family when I had more heart than money — bunk beds, swing sets, sandboxes — each one a small act of love. This time, that love simply took a new form.
The arch became more than a backdrop; it became part of the ceremony’s emotion. Guests noticed the details — the care in each curve and joint — and responded to something beyond its construction. It made me realize that people can feel when something is made with genuine care and heart.
What began as a father’s gift has become a calling: to craft wedding arches that frame life’s most meaningful promises with beauty, reverence, and enduring craftsmanship. Each arch is built by hand, with the same care and intention that started it all — so that, long after the day is over, its presence and meaning remain.
